Another Trip to White Oak Canyon

We took another day trip to White Oak Canyon last week.  It was late fall last time we visited, and it was amazing to see the area during early spring this time.  I am sure this is a place that is beautiful during every season.  The weather was unseasonably warm so the kids were even able to play in the water and take a slide down the natural waterslide.  Tomorrow I will share wildflower photos; there were so many in bloom!  If you are interested in more information you can check out this site, or this one, or this one, and here is a link to the map of the White Oak Canyon area (We parked in the Whiteoak Canyon parking area and hiked the Cedar Run Falls trail this time to reach the natural water slide.)
I came around a bend to find Gabe in this condition.  Really he was only fooling around, but this is a pretty strenuous hike.  The boys do well, but we are nuts to do these things with two little girls who have to be carried most of the way.
Jonny, Seth, and Keats each tried the waterslide.  The water was shockingly cold.  I got a great video of Jonny sliding down the rock and then shrieking like a little girl when he hit the water.
Scenery on the way home, just outside the park.
Virginia is so beautiful.  My kind of beautiful.
